The Solar Impulse Foundation is an environmental non-profit founded in 2003 by Bertrand Piccard and André Borschberg in collaboration with the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne, Switzerland.
The essence of the Solar Impulse Foundation for labeling is to identify solutions that can profitably protect the environment.
The Solar Impulse Efficient Solution label seeks to bridge the gap between ecology and economy, bringing together the protection of the environment and financial viability to show that these solutions are not expensive fixes to problems, but rather opportunities for clean economic growth.

Earning the Efficient Solution Label by Solar Impulse Foundation is not an easy feat. During the application, innovators go through several months of rigorous assessments and are judged on several criteria. The solutions are assessed based on the positive impact they have on the environment along with financial viability for business growth. The assessment is strictly conducted by a pool of independent experts.
In April 2021, Solar Impulse Foundation completed the mission of selecting '1000 Solutions'.
In August 2021, RecycloBin earned the prestigious 'Solar Impulse Efficient Solution Label'.
We are one of the early solutions to be accepted for the Solar Impulse Foundation's #Beyond1000Solutions initiative. In the last four years, only 1256 solutions have been labelled from across the world.

RecycloBin was born out of a very simple thought: to make the process of waste management profitable and sustainable. With RecycloBin, we want to bring efficiency in waste collection and segregation and aid recycling by bringing in more efficiency in the overall process. The way we do that is by tackling the issue of segregation and reduction at the source.
